The ability to record a voice note for a Report is a great feature, and 10 seconds is a good amount of time. However, I find that a simple, quick report is only 3-5 seconds, but there is no ability to stop the recording before the 10s limit is reached. There is only a Cancel button, which does just that and discards the recorded audio.
Please add a Stop button, either words or the standard square icon most understand as a the stop icon so we can nice recordings without 5 extra seconds of car background noise.

It's a known issue, Not sure it will be fixed in the future, but at the moment - as noted - you must use the entire 10 seconds. I've forwarded your request and will update with more details once I have something.
