This is also happening to me, but it is everytime. First open shuts down immeditely, second works fine. After closing Waze for more than a few minutes, this will happen again. I have latest version of iOS running on a 5C.

On my iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1 and waze 3.7.8 I am seeing a bug.

When I received a response, the drop down causes the screen to dim (normal) and when I touch the map, the drop down response goes away but the screen remains dim and only the two buttons on the bottom are active.

"Killing" the app by double clicking the home button restarting the app fixes it until the next message.

Also, there are a lot of "crashes" on the map and all on my route are over 100 hours old and all a attributed to WazeFeed. These are noted by the audio alert and this diminishes the value of the app.

The drop down response I receive is the result of a "crash" i reported last week (I think). This triggers the bug.

Have you tried turning off your iphone and turning it back on? The 'reboots' the iphone.
I find that sometimes 'fixes' strange things like what you are reporting.

I have powered off the iPhone and back on, it was fixed until I received another "response". I reinstalled the app, it was fixed until I received another response.

It is "easy" enough to fix by restarting the app, but it is annoying. Should not need to do this while driving.

I'm getting frequent GPS connection problems, a lot more of "Proceed to highlighted route" displays at the beginning of the navigation, of varying duration. Rebooting sometimes fixes this, sometimes not.

Have iPhone4 iOS 7.0.4. Problems before and after the recent OS update.

Had a talk with the country manager and he said it was related to corruption of the map tile in that area. He suggested reporting it to Waze Support:
Typically, we just need to report these to Waze so that they can find the issue and force build the tile again. To do this, I'd report it via the "Ask a Question" process on the Support page. Go through the links/clicks until you can open a ticket directly with Waze. In that form, provide the details like the screenshot (externally hosted/paste the link in the ticket notes) and also a permalink to the segment(s) which are affected.

I'm seeing a problem with gas stations. I used to be able to see all the prices of a particular gas station by tapping its info tab. Now all I get is this:

After three weeks or so of daily use, Waze either cannot connect to network, or jumps all over the map off your current location/route. Either situation requires a reset of your iPhone, which is a pain because you lose all of your iPhone's settings. Waze seems to be slowly corrupting the iPhone's data. I see other users have reported this in your ratings. Deleting and reloading Waze is not enough, the problem seems to require a phone reset.

I've had inbox notifications leading to blank "messages." I suspect this is related to the update of the editor, with the changes in URs. I'm going to crosspost in the WME update thread.
