gentlemen,
to add on the matter of leaving "red" roads on the editor:

these roads won't appear in the client (our apps) and will not yet be routable...

your choice,
-if you wish it to appear & be routable on the succeeding tile/map update, tick the "NoCity" & "NoStreet" boxes..
-if you'd rather wait for someone to pick up on the work, leave it red then.

c",)

bangus236 wrote:speeddzel, the red roads do appear on the phone client. i have encountered several that i think were results of some users "paving roads" while walking. the red roads that you dont see on your phone might be recent additions and have not been included in the map updates yet

sample:
https://world.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&l ... FTTTTTTTFT

if you can scan for sm bacoor on your phone, a little further south you will see some roads with cookies
Hmmm, roger that bro... interesting.. i see them alright.

err, has anyone verified if the the "client" (waze) will route through them? especially the red/cookie roads that have been edited & properly connected to the existing road network.. with the exception of the "paved" only ones which usually are not yet properly connected or edited?

panawagan sa ating mga bagong patnugot (newbie editors):

kindly give more priority to follow the contour/flow of the GPS points in relation to the contour of the Bing Aerial image Maps.

AGAIN.. (and again and again) may we reiterate,
the Maps (Bing Aerial) you see in the WME (Waze Map Editor) are not ACCURATELY CALIBRATED to the actual / natural / physical / geometric / geodetic position!

if you are keen to observe,
on roads that traverse East to West (& vice versa),
the average center point of GPS Tracks are a tad UP of center.
on roads that traverse North to South (v.v.),
the average center point of GPS Tracks are a tad to the RIGHT of center.

why do we reiterate this?

simple, it will prevent you from snapping to other roads nearby WHICH might be closer to your actual GPS location. (particularly OverPASses/UnderPASses & its SerViCe RoaDs)

keep on wazing!

additional request:

as much as possible, please do not delete road segments (which are not duplicates) on the map editor. these segments contain speed data which are used by waze for route calculations. instead of deleting those "squiggly red lines", try to edit them to match the actual road geometry.
correct! RECYCLE the concerned segment, as much as possible.. ;)
