ATTENTION: Countrywide SPAMMING of Shell Gas Stations

I'd like to report to this forum that several spam data are appearing on the maps where Shell stations are (1) added to areas where there are none, even (2) superimposing existing stations with this data, while (3) others are misleading as the place marker does not correspond to the actual place wherein that station is location.

Try to find these stations yourself by zooming out of your area and searching the word "DOSS" in the search field of the Map Editor. This will not apply in the Greater Manila Area, but search elsewhere and you will see it.

If you live in Lucena, for example, you will see one of these: "SH TAYABAS QUEZON DOSS" and a lot more.
If you live in Cebu, you will see one of these: "SH COMPOSTELA CEBU DOSS" and a lot more.
If you live in Cagayan de Oro, you will see one of these: "SH LAGUINDINGN MISAMIS OR DOSS" and a lot more.

Even though admin(staff) added them, I'd like to recommend removing them are they are SPAM. What can you say about it?

I understand. However, these old database, now incorporated in the new database, are doing more harm than good as most of them are inaccurate and misleading. I've started removing those SH stations withing my driving area. So I would like to ask ALL EDITORS reading this to either remove any of them if they are within your driving area or as RangeRoverHSE suggested, "move it over to said gas station landmark so that they can be in the same location and just rename to remove the old label for proper labelling".

sir albertcong, no need to worry as these are part of the old database of gas stations during the cartouche days. Generally you can make out the nearest area where these landmarks (now Place area or point) should be placed. If they appear near to an already existing gas station Place, just move it over to said gas station landmark so that they can be in the same location and just rename to remove the old label for proper labelling.
