Advise needed : Deleting a problematic road

Post by AttyArys
Hi, I'm virtually a newbie in map editing.

Upon reviewing a UR, I saw several roads in WME that are not needed and IMHO will cause routing problems. I believe they need to deleted.

However, I have read somewhere that deleting a road is discouraged.
I need advise from experienced editors.

Thanks in advance! :)

Permalinks:
1. Unnecessary and Problematic roads highlighted:

2. Inner roads connected to the problematic roads that are so narrow I believe cars should not be advised to pass through them:

3. If ever the above roads are removed, these needed to be linked together and level set to ground.

Thank you Sir for a warm welcome. Glad to be part of the community. :-)
Waze app has helped me a lot in battling everyday traffic and finding optimal paths to my out-of-town destinations.
Thus, my great interest in keeping it in tip-top shape.

The edits made will fix the problematic road junction reported by the Wazer/Reporter. Thanks for these.

Thanks for the tips.

Greetings AttyArys & welcome!

on behalf of the Pinoy wazing community, we wish to extend our appreciation for your contributions and interest in keeping the maps accuracy.

you indeed have read well sir. as much as the community tries to reach out to every wazer, whether editor or driver/user, some (if not majority) prefer to remain cloistered and edit reclusely in their own little world.

as the Pinoy wazers grow in numbers, so does these individuals. some do have good intentions but unfortunately they are oblivious of the editing norms of waze.

the result? pretty much the clutter visible on the Editor (WME).
you'll notice some of these clutter DO NOT appear on the waze app.

as such, and as you have read, we try to maintain a tolerant demeanor (to a certain degree) for the clutter created by most newbies. in the event these unnecessary edits begin to affect the regular routing of waze, we as editors are compelled to step in to institute & enforce the necessary edits for rectification to maintain the maps integrity.

kindly check the edits performed for the concerned segments you have raised for your reference.

keep in touch and the editing community has a bevy of editing tips & tricks for you :D

cheers!
