Speed limits - Laval
Just a heads up for anyone editing speed limits in Laval: the city is currently changing most of its road signs. Work began in October and will continue through Spring.
Here's the press release:

Here's the map of speed limits:

According to the press release, everything West of the A-13 is already subject to the new speed limits. One thing that's unclear to me is whether residential streets elsewhere on the island should be set to 50 km/h (old) or 40 km/h (new). The press release states that "La nouvelle réglementation entre en vigueur dès l'installation des panneaux de signalisation", but there are usually no speed limit signs on such streets. I'm leaning towards 40 km/h, but if anyone thinks otherwise, let me know.
Edit: they will apparently be putting up these signs to signal that the new 40km/h speed limit on residential streets is in effect:
Should we just set the streets to 50km/h for now and re-do the whole island when the signs are posted?
