Every day for months now TrafficCast has been reporting construction on the Mackay Bridge, Dartmouth-bound. I've never seen any. I assume this is some kind of automated report. How can we stop it?

Where do you see those reports? In Waze?
I don't know of any integration for automated traffic update to Waze in Canada.
If you see something in the App it must be coming from other drivers reporting this.

It seems this is a not uncommon problem with TrafficCast. See this thread, for example:https://wiki.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=153596
It suggests that the problem has to be escalated to Waze staff. Can you do this?

I believe the issue was on the MacDonald Bridge and not the MacKay Bridge.
I realize the issue yesterday and with the assistance of some fellow Champs I was able to report it and now it seems to be resolved, as the closure that was on the bridge during the day and showed as TrafficCast is not showing anymore.
Thanks for the report and if it reoccur please feel free to report this again or ping me.

The MacDonald bridge has its own issues. Closed on weeknights and all weekend for extensive repairs. More information is here
The MacKay bridge problem was a false report of construction mid-span in the Dartmouth-bound direction. I didn't see the report today, but it's possible someone else marked it "not there" today.
I'll keep an eye on this and let you know.

Do you live in Halifax? If you do and wish to make some edits in the city maybe you can apply to be an AM?

Update on the daily false report of construction on the Mackay bridge: It's still happening. Again, it was an update from TrafficCast.

I don't see anything at the MacKay bridge right now.
Can you capture in realtime and send me the exact time with the image?

Here you go! This is from this afternoon. I'm pretty sure I marked the construction warning as "not there" as I passed it, and then it reappeared some minutes later.

I have reported the out of context TrafficCast reports at both the MacKay and Macdonald bridges.
Waze have no control over this push notification from TrafficCast, which is a third party.
The important thing is that it is not creating a closure at the bridge and not causing traffic to detour.
For now I don't think that we can do anything further to improve this.
