Hwy 1 Kamloops to Chase

Post by BryceCampbell
I've looked through the forum/wiki and haven't been able to find anything...

Construction for the hwy1 widening, is happening at Hoffmans Bluff (before Chase) and was wondering what is the best way to report this? I can report from the app for Construction but it goes way. Is there another way or a form or something to submit for long term Construction? There is 24/7 traffic control previsions in this area. During a driveby, in addition to reporting as construction, I placed from markers for reference (just in case) https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... 045&zoom=0

If there is anything we can do for long term construction, let me know.

Thanks

In addition to the Hoffmans Bluff Construction, I while I noticed speed limits weren't placed on the freeway yet, I was wondering would it be beneficial to change Hwy 1 from Hwy 97C to Pritchard to a divided freeway since the 4 lane widening is completed for that stretch. The wiki guideline for GPS tracks clearly separated at 100 ft seems to apply here. Just seems like if we're updating for speed limits might as well split the freeway.

Ok, sounds good, that's what I thought about the construction.

As for the dividing, the GPS data is pretty decent for splitting upto the new Pritchard, Stoney Flats Rd overpass. Wouldn't hurt to leave it collect data for another few months to ensure its completed properly. In the meantime, least the speed can get added.

Thanks for the reply/clarification!

Is this already underway and do you have a timeline for the construction? Do you have a website or other information source that can be referenced?

Unfortunately there is not much we can do about closures and construction zones on the map if it is not a complete closure, which is not the case here. For the dividing, that is not a bad idea, but my preference would be to wait until the construction is complete and we have at least some good GPS trace information to correctly position the segments, unless you have another way to determine location?
