Hi all, new to Waze in Metro Vancouver.
On the road every day for work, so making some corrections I'm familiar with on the routes I travel.

Hi everyone,

New to the forums but been with Waze for a bit now... up to warrior level, I think.. hehehe.. I've done an edit or two, but that map editor is gonna take some getting used to... like someone else said, even small changes take a bit of time, when you don't really know what you are doing...

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi...

Bye for now..

Psychosquirrel,

Welcome to the Wazer family!

You are right, I'm one of the Area Manager of Waze. I realized the same thing as you do. There seem to be much more Wazer in Richmond than Vancouver. That could due to the amount of smart phone users difference between Vancouver and Richmond. Also, in fact, young people tend to be more tech savvy, and tend to hang around Richmond much more than Vancouver.

Although I don't have the absolute answer to your questions, since I'm quite new to Waze too, but my observations tell me that munchies and treats are based on how busy a road is. Munchies won't reappear if a road's condition, driving directions, and average speed is established. Some lower usage roads (by wazers) would be reset from time to time to attract wazers to obtain such information. After all, munchies and treats are just a way to attract users to provide the information. The ultimate goal is to create a reliable navigation system running on smart phones.

Welcome Skeeter!

Finally this forum post got some momentum going.

Take some time to get used to the map editor. It took me quite a while to figure out how to fix some problems. Of course I caused quite a bit of problems along the way too. A few times, I end up spending well over half an hour to fix a small tiny problem that should cost only a few minutes to fix.

Give me a shout if you need any advise.

I have drawn the Richmond Oval road (River Road) a long time again, and somehow, it takes forever to be updated to the live server. Most of other edition is updated almost daily.

Anyway, I'm glad that it's working finally.

Krazy editing in Greater Vancouver and more!

Hi Hylee

I'm new to waze but I really love it, and have used it alot lately. I love cookie munching and finding those hidden treats. I tried to update a map error too but couldn't figure out how? I think the map said that you were in charge of the area? I live in Richmond so I mainly drive there with the occasional trip into Van and parts beyond.

P.S. Any idea why the Richmond treats never seem to update? I mean besides me eating them all, there never seems to be much to munch down here compared to Vancouver.

I know of a couple roads and things I'd like to fix in the editor, roads that are new or ones that don't exist anymore, but I haven't been able to figure out how to make those changes.

The roads I am trying to fix are around the Olympic Oval in Richmond. The old river road is still on the map there and there is no new route yet. I tried driving it and have it saved as a "new road" in one of my maps but I dunno how to draw it properly so it will update for everyone else. The old river road is still on the map too, is there a way to remove it?
