Map errors on Henday & Highway 16 in the northeast

Post by Grimace780
There are at least 2 client reported errors in the area of Anthony Henday & Highway 16 in the northeast. This is part of the construction that has been going on for a while now.

Does the Waze map match current road topography in this area?

Errors reported and user GPS tracks suggest this is not the case.

I think I've addressed these issues.

If there's something more you'd like to suggest changing, perhaps on the basis of the construction drawings, let me know.

Oops! Those are all fixed now, too.

Agreed on working towards final state... I don't like rearranging roads when the detour is only a few days... by the time we get reliable GPS traces, they're back to normal.

I'm seeing GPS traces on the NEAH - I'm going to remove a few of the closures so I can update the traces, then close it again until Oct 1... unless someone has info on it actually being open. :D

Much appreciated.

The Waze suggested route and the actual route info shown with the error pins show what I suspect: The road configuration has changed.

There is a team looking after the Henday / Highway 16 / etc. construction project. I'm hoping they see this.

I can see some mismatch between local roads and the GPS tracks, but I would be careful changing it without knowing exactly what is right and what is wrong.
I see that you told the reporter that you started a post in the forum.
Maybe ask the user for more details.

Here's a couple of screenshots showing all of the traffic patterns currently around this intersection. List details of intersections.

AHD SB - No Left Turn onto the "Exit 400A Meridian St."
AHD SB - Right turn allowed onto "to Hwy 16 W " ramp.
AHD SB - Straight ahead to continue on AHD SB.

AHD NB - No Left Turn onto the "to Hwy 16 W" ramp.
AHD NB - Right turn allowed onto "Exit 400A Meridian St.". Can only go WB on Hwy 16 from here.
AHD NB - Straigh ahead to continue on AHD NB / Meridian St.

YHD WB - Exit Right onto "Exit 400A Meridian St." -
Exit 400A "WB" - No Right Turn allowed onto AHD NB / Meridian St
Exit 400A "WB" - Only Left Turn allowed onto AHD SB
Exit 400A "WB" - No Exit onto local road "Meridian St" / 118 Ave NE
Here are some drawings from construction group. The larger file is superceded by the smaller detailed one around this new intersection.

Looking Great! Thanks for the quick Response doctorkb.

Few notes:

Waze currently has the ramp for Exit 400A exiting from Hwy 16 too soon. The directly E-W path is currently closed and the main traffic uses the more southern path (see further East at Broadmoor Blvd.).
1) Please mark as temporarily closed the straight E-W corridor.
2) Please change the exit point for Exit 400A ramp.

Lastly, from Exit 400A to the new one-way ramp you just added, turn is not allowed.

All of these changes should allow navigation to continue functioning. I'll test when I get the next chance. As we've said earlier, we'll get all these pathways smoothed out and detailed as we get closer and closer to final build.

Thanks again doctorkb and hmarian for your help.

Oh, agreed on the few days detours. But here, they've gone and installed "temporary" traffic lights, and paved new lanes which will be unused by the permanent roadway. I'm guessing that this detour will be this way for at least a month.

Greatly appreciate the quick responses!
