Hi. I appreciate it, and will definitely let you know if I need an unlock or an update next time.

I've made the changes that needed to be done, however I made some additional changes to the ramps just south of that intersection coming in & out of Hyde Park Rd into and out of the parking lot, which I just noticed has necessitated that I require level 1 access to the segment of Hyde Park Rd between that ramp & the following parking lot intersection. Shall I open that as a new request? Here's what i'm referring to:
https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... s=76511194

Once that's been corrected, everything can be put back to level 4 in terms of the segments on Hyde Park Rd that have been changed.

Thank you for the guidance, HM.

I am actually Sashko_K. I created this account because my original account (Sashko_K) was unable to access the forums, and I started this thread while my forum account with my original account still wasn't working.

I took a look at the editing manual, however I was not able to find the part you're referring to more specifically. I've followed your suggestion and removed the additional details I originally added and made it simpler, and was wondering if you count point me more specifically towards the section of the editing manual that you were referring to for my future reference :-)

Question, why these segments are set as parking - https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... 9,76601740 ?
It's a road that essentially has a parking lot on each side. I'd say it's a bit ambiguous, but I've changed it all to "street", as it's not actually within the parking lot.

After reading that, I'm curious as to how I'd know who the area manager for a specific area is.
hmarian wrote:Also - this should be set as parking lot road and in my mind be connected on the other end - https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... s=85868695.
Makes sense, I've made that change as well.

Your permalink here didn't seem to highlight any segments, but I'm assuming you're referring to all of the directions of the Seagull & Hyde Park Rd intersection. I changed that since I confirmed that there are no signs indicating that a U-turn is not allowed. Is that not the right thing to do?

I noticed the Area Manager layer on the editor, however all I seem to seem when enabling that layer is a highlight of the area, and can't seem to figure out how to determine who the actual area manager for the area is.

In respect to U-turns, would it not help to have them enabled in the case where a driver has missed a turn, so that a U-turn could be suggested at an intersection where it's allowed, as opposed to taking him/her around the block? Since you're saying that it could cause routing issues, I've changed the U-turns back to not being allowed at that intersection, but I just wanted to better understand the situation :-)

That makes sense.

I'm done working on those segments on Hyde Park Rd. If you could set them back to Level 4.

No need to open a new request if it is related to the same request.
I have reduced the second permalink to L1.

Let me know when all your work is done so I can lock back to A4.

If you are editing @Sashko_K new segment in and out of the plaza they can be handled by a single two-way segment. It will have the same functionality with less clutter.
Also the other side of the plaza there is a new segment connecting to split segment of Seagull Rd. I don't see the value of this newly added split. It should be one two-way segment.

See the editing manual. Simple is better.

Let me know if something is not clear or if you need further help or unlock related to the above.
