Am I the only one with this problem, or dislike the change?

That is better now. No more issue with zoom level.
And zoom feature in this case was not useful when too many pop-up.

When we thank a report, countdown counter still continue to count down and pop-up close only when it reach 0.
This is very annoying.
Pop-up should close immediately when we thank !

khaytsus wrote:So your opinion is you don't want to see the specific area of the report, only the report itself? Or just the zooming part?

The zooming part I mentioned seemed like a weird after-affect, like something that was needed when showing another report but wasn't removed when the showing of other reports was removed.

I still would like to see the client show the area of the report. I drive a road that's a loop a lot, and just saying there's an accident 1 mile away doesn't tell me if it's in front of me or behind me, and since it's a dual carriage road I won't get an alert if it's on my route. However, traffic always slows to a crawl at the site of an accident, no matter how far separated it is from the other lanes. ;)

I'm hoping it's a bug.. It's been gone the last two betas.

When you are in a location where there are plenty of reports, automatic zoom in do the following :
1) It change the zoom level
2) It center your screen where the report is
In this case, because there are plenty of reports, you don't know where they are exactly.
And the result (because there is still a bug that Waze is unable to find), zoom is sometime not restored.
The other problem is when Waze starts its "report dance" (I call it when there are plenty of reports, and Waze do not take care of the radius) and you need to quit Waze, zoom level is not restored the next time you use Waze !

So my opinion is :
1 - Waze staff is able to debug correctly the zoom problem and makes it working correctly
and highlight the location of the report on the map
or
2 - Waze staff let the actual functionnality, without zooming.

What if we want to add a comment? Finding the pop-up again might be impossible, when there are plenty of reports.

When I thank, I'm driving... No comment possible while driving !
And it is not a chat... Just a report ![quote]

i would like in beta version a zoom level meter on the map. I think there is still a zoom restoring bug in manual zoom.
So i could see if zoom is "auto changing" when not permited.

Thanks

I prefer having Waze voice... It should be a setting !

+1
It is virtually impossible to have a phone conversation while getting lengthy TTS instructions, especially if they are close together.
A beep as an indication for the next instruction would be better, and forcing Waze into foreground again for visibility again if possible would be even better.

Note that having a conversation while driving is forbidden...
A setting for "Mute while phoning" would be a good feature and give choice to users.

The starting Waze screen is sometime correctly sized, sometime is expanded... I don't know on what is depends.

When there's no connectivity the prompts default to english (without TTS). Why don't you download the "offline" foreign voices when setting the language the first time?
Moreover sometimes the Italian voice on startup says "Let's go" (in english) instead of the italian one. I don't know if this is related to the translation file or to a programming bug.

Also in french we have the lets go, and sometimes the first french word is truncated
