Text overlap in ETE/DTD bar. Font for street names is too small. May be OK for younger folks.

I have "Avoid toll roads" checked. Route 2 takes me straight on Dallas North Tollway. This might be routing server issue.

No luck at all. Clash, clash, clash...and lost all favourites.
tap menu button...clash!
tap report button...clash!
slide menu button...first ok...then clash!
slide report button...clash!
Tried clear install but still...clash...
Uninstalled and reinstalled the previous version...running smoothly but lost all favourites...
Log files sent anyway.

Keep copy of /waze/history file in separate folder. Another way to recover favorites is to log out, uninstall, delete waze folder, wait overnight and try install afresh.

I switch versions all the time. If I do it fast enough I can see myself on the map from previous version log in.

2. New UI is really nice. I like the font size on my phone, xperia s so this is an improvement for me over the last version. However, I could see some complain about this as it could be really small on phones with a smaller display.

Xperia S has a 4.3 inches display. Samsung Galaxy S3 has 4.8 one
The raison of the problem in waze ? Maybe differences of font used from one phone to another ?
maybe differences in waze from one country to another ?

So I confirm that with my S3 (in France) I can't read the names on the map while driving. With previous version of waze, it was ok.

Maybe my age too, 54 years old ;-)

I propose the possibility to increase or decrease font in Waze settings itself like for transparency of some windows (black one).

Changing font in phone itself could cause problem in other applications.

(sorry for my english)

On my Galaxy Nexus I had to revert to Play Store version because of street name font. Can't read it. Same age, 54 ;)

It looks great on my full hd tablet!

Really great.

In my opinion in looks like ransom note. There are nine fonts on the screen. Other screen elements are mismatched in size. North indicator in not in center of its button. Navigation bar is way too big.

Edit. Looks like images from Google Drive don't show up in some browsers.

xteejx wrote:It looks more like a download problem to me, but reinstated market version and it's fine, so there's no tts server issues. It's definitely this beta.
It's almost as if the distance instruction is blank, so minimal guidance kicks in and overrules the TTS and doesn't allow tts to come back in. Verrrrry annoying!

This is not download/server issue. I have traveled with two devices side by side for two days now. Galaxy Nexus with Play Store version and Galaxy Tab 7.7 with beta. Both devices set up exactly the same. Not only TTS is different but proposed routes are different as well. What a mess. :)

Two ways. Hit Navigate -> Categories -> Gas Stations -> Map. This will show you stations in your area. Or.

Create route then hit Add Stop -> Categories -> Gas Stations -> Map. This will show stations along the route.

So far everything normal seems to work well... Of course that's after using it for 45 minutes :D

I've noticed though, in my Waze, it says I joined 2 months ago, and I've been a Wazer for over a year now. I'm not sure if this is a release bug or what, I don't have another friend awake right now in order to test if it's an issue with the server or not.

Will report back periodically with new information about the release.

Thanks!
