Here we go with my first round of issues:

1. Petrol pricing:
We can now enter a price ending in .9 (at last!).

However, the new price shows in search and on the map fine. The problem is that in the station info pane it STILL shows as .8. Also I don't get credit, it just says "a Facebook user".

Note also the formatting error previously reported in the stations location tab is still there (look at the phone number):

Unrelated to this beta, however, it seems over the last week progressively all the prices entered into Waze have been lost. Search from my home the only station that now has a price is this one that I updated this afternoon. Any idea why this is happening?

2. New moods need additional entries in the language file:

I added this to the lang.eng_uk file to fix this on my client:
Code: Select all
geek-female=geek
sarcastic-female=sarcastic
shy-female=shy
sick-female=sick

A quick recap on faults I've reported that are still present:
1. Unable to log into twitter.
2. Unable to log onto foursquare.
3. When reporting a map issue and adding text, the text entry box is partly hidden under the keyboard.
4. I still don't like the new night scheme, make the background black!
5. Formatting errors in Petrol station pages persist.
6. Roundabout turn number centring is still off.
7. Layout for landscape users ... we need more map!
8. Please ove the the "searching" box so I can see the map when it's taking far too long to do something?
9. My Waze mood does not match my mood (silver Wazer this week).

Deleting and Reinstalling did not fix 1 and 2.

Still to test:
1. The changing route captions auto-dismiss timer is misplace
2. The traffic report pop-up is a big box, yet it only has room for 34 characters ... can we allocate a bit more space in the road report box for the actual road report?
3. Speed Camera Caption blocking the map.
4. Pick up function

I'm still unable to connect to foursquare and twitter, even with a clean install.

If you're jailbroken do you still install the same way? I'm also having trouble installing, j/b, iOS 5, iPhone 4, regiestered UDID, received email, just never completes the install.

The ASR commands file has a bug/issue related to the "car stopped on road" report. The following code should be ammended:
Code: Select all
N report.hazard.onroad.carstopped
A asr_report_hazard_onroad_carstopped
I reporting car stopped on road
S car stopped on road

In order for this report type to be used like all others, as a single line command or as part of the menu structure (report/hazard/on road/car stopped), the last line should read only: S car stopped

The full command does work, but because the last line is not the individual command, it is not as useful as it could be. The menu system as "reporting hazard on road, select object, pot hole, ...., car stopped on road" which is poor grammar and redundant.

I've had this happen at two intersections recently, and with the beta only. When I've been using the release version, it's never happened at those locations. I'll try to capture it both in video and send logs.

I think this has been brought up, but I find I run into it more and more: the distance at which a goodie/candy will be "eaten" is smaller in the beta version than the current released app version. There is an intersection where a candy almost always appears for me (editing bonus). It is an intersection that isn't extremely wide, but enough such that when I drive through it, unless I steer much closer to the center of the intersection instead of the right-turn lane area, I will not pick up the candy. The same intersection with the released version never fails to pick up the candy at the same spot.

BUG: Voice Commands, if already enabled, still bring up the "would you like to enable?" alert.

Steps:
  1. Install Waze fresh.
  2. Login/set up as normal.
  3. Go to Settings->Voice Commands
  4. Enable Voice Commands
  5. Set Activation to Hover & 3 fingers (if not already set to that)
  6. Exit Settings
  7. Hover hand to activate proximity sensor

What happens:
The "Drive Safe: passing your hand over the screen activates voice commands. [Later] [Enable]" alert box appears.

What should happen:
Waze should go directly into Voice Command mode. It has already been enabled and should not prompt the user.

BUG: Removing a favorite from the favorite detail info screen returns the user to the Navigate menu instead of the previously-visited Favorites list.

Steps:
  1. Go to Navigate.
  2. Tap on Favorites.
  3. Tap on a favorite arrow to bring up details.
  4. Tap remove.

What happens:
The favorite is deleted and you are returned to the Navigate screen.

What should happen:
The favorite is deleted and you are returned to the Favorites list. (To get back to the list of Favorites, which was the screen the user was previously on, you have to tap Favorites again.)
