did you send Waze your new uuid and they confirmed it was updated?

This version still brings up the "Later/Enable" box on first proximity sensor hover even if the setting is already enabled. If someone enables it, there is no reason to bring up this box and interrupt the voice command process.
I had extremely poor display performance with this version. I am not sure if it is just this version or would have happened with the previous betas. Most of the poor performance is around requesting routes to locations several hours away.
All these videos are very boring. But there are no missing frames. What you see is how Waze was displaying for me live.
1. Just driving down a straight road the evening of Oct-11. Logs uploaded at around 10:20PM 2012-10-10 GMT.
Recorded 2012-10-10 3:20PM. App had 5 minutes of not being able to update location smoothly on the map. A couple of candies were eaten, but everything was extremely choppy and the screen rarely would update my actual location.
2-4. Poor performance after selecting routes to relatively far-away places, with route times of several hours away. Logs for all these videos was uploaded around 1PM 2012-10-12.
Videos 3 and 4 include some narration from me. Exciting!
Recorded on 2012-10-12 6:17AM. Requested a route several hundred miles away. App become mostly unresponsive. Route overview box: could not tap any buttons and counter expired. For the next 7 minutes, the app would not follow my location, speedometer would not update, TTS instructions were choppy and late by 1 to 3 minutes.
Recorded on 2012-10-12 6:19AM. Requested a few hundred miles away. App become mostly unresponsive. Route overview box: could not tap any buttons and counter expired. For the next few minutes, the app would not follow my location, speedometer would not update.
Recorded on 2012-10-12 6:26AM. Requested a few hundred miles away. Recorded sitting in a parking lot. Route overview box comes up delayed, and the auto-dismisses very quickly because the counter is already running, but the display of the box doesn't have for several seconds, leaving it with 1 second on the timer when it appears. General poor performance.

Am I the only one that these are broken for?
I have been able to check-in to 4sq repeatedly with no issues. It was a fresh install (delete+reboot) of the beta I am working with now.
I uploaded logs this evening around 12:45AM 2012-10-13 GMT after some really bad Waze behavior. I tried to capture it in video, but that failed me. As a result, I now can't remember all that went wrong. But the big two were:
1. (Not client-related) but Waze refused to route me around a couple-mile-long 10mph traffic jam when there was clear alternate routes, mostly through residential or other collector side-streets, which I ended up taking myself.
2. Waze got into a state where it seemed to be tracking me, rerouting as needed as I didn't follow directions to get around the traffic jam, but the screen went all blue: that Waze splash screen blue. No map, no car. The next turn, menu buttons and ETA info was showing, but nothing else. I had to close Waze and restart it to get the interface back.
jasonh300 wrote:I did notice that the menu is messed up again. In the last version, they put the "Switch Off" back where it belongs (I kept hitting the Share button in the previous version). Now, instead of showing the 9 icons on the screen, it only shows 6 and there's a scroll. The Switch Off button is visible, but I don't know why this had to be changed again.
This was the first thing I noticed too. Sure makes it hard to use portrait when not navigating.
My guess it's because in nav mode, there's way too many icons to fit, so they decided to shrink it so that all times, the main menu requires a scroll. There's a kind of consistency of the UI of the main menu with that thinking, actually. With the icons moving around with each beta, it has been more difficult, but most end users will only have to "put up with" a single change.

Happens due to long logs and should work fine with debug mode OFF.
The first example I thought was clean install of Waze and the first launch. There were no debug logs yet. But, based on the timing and what logs you got, perhaps I am incorrect about that.
