But no matter what I did, the map lat/lon didn't change.

I uploaded logs for this at around 4:30AM GMT.

Thanks, we're looking into it.

I retract that part of it. Either it has stopped happening sometime today, or it never happened in today's beta and I just didn't test it properly. I was still half asleep when I installed the beta this morning and did a few quick tests.

The part about hitting the sleep button too quickly after switching off stands though.

The next time you shut it down, it will be completely off.

I can reproduce this behavior every single time. I've never seen an app just pop back up like that before. Of course, very few apps need to be "exited" to stop running in the background. Nav apps are one of the special ones.

Interestingly, if you shut down Waze, hit home and then power off (quickly), Waze will exit normally and not pop back up.

The switch-off bug really needs to be addressed. Half my battery had been used up before I noticed Waze was still running this morning.

To be clear, this is the behavior:

If you have Waze running, and then switch to another app, then switch back to Waze, then try to switch Waze off, it will start right back up.

This also happens if you switch Waze off and then put the phone to sleep before Waze disappears from the screen. You'll notice your phone getting hot in your pocket after a few minutes. When you wake the phone up, Waze immediately pops back up. Then if you try to shut it down again, it will immediately reopen. The next time you shut it down, it will be completely off.

Are you jailbroken or a standard beta tester?

Crashing for car dock reasons have gone away for me. Using a Belkin FM audio accessory device.

Same advice as before: upgrading Waze in place often leaves bits of files in place which shouldn't be there, so when major crashing is happening, it's key to delete Waze, reboot, install. Based on your level of experience, I'm sure you've done this, but just in case...

Could you also post your hardware/OS info too, either in a post or sig, so that we could perhaps correlate with other users?

This version is very stable for me. I can connect it to the car stereo and launch Waze with no issues and no crashing. Playing music through dock connector and BT alongside Waze is flawless as I'd expect it to be.

There are several other minor "bugs" and UI issues, but for the most part those are long-standing bugs and quirks.
