Or do you mean the text 'ETA'?
I think it's clear enough.

Oups !
Bec. text "ETA" is not here, I tought it was the time...
I think ETA text should come back !

Would be a pure wasting of space. All possible info is being displayed there, but ETA is just one of them. Additionally the word has no meaning in non-English languages. It would either have to be translated, or you again have to learn its meaning.

If you remove all things that seem to be unusefull, in few version nothing will remain on screen except digits...
Waze is, I think, very complicated to use. I know many friends who find Waze too complcated and decide to get a paid version of Coyote... Because it is easy to use.

If you remove too much texts that indicate the meaning of things, it will be more complicated or confuse to use.

Really, I thought it was the clock when I saw the time without the word "ETA"...

It was not possible to translate "ETA" - even when I forced it into the language file, it was still showing "ETA".

For a while it has been falsely translated in Dutch to something longer. I think it has been approximately half a year ago. That translated text obviously didn't fit, so we changed it back. The moral is that it IS possible.

Today I've once got a request to follow the route for more than 900 000 km. Crash afterwards.

On the subsequent run, after reaching the via point (but not yet the destination!), the client told me at least 15 times that I've reached the destination, until I've stopped the navigation.

900k km?? That's distance from Sun to Mars   Is waze prepairing for space navigation?
Because of the private space flights that are coming? :D

This number/sentence was placed at the top of screen. On the bottom of screen there were even larger numbers (possibly from the ETA box?) but I've not got enough time to read and understand them, as they were severly overflowing the map.

Hello!

So far I already got 2 messages indicating "-1 nearby Wazers".
It should not show a negative number.

What to do after paving a road is a dead end

Postby skbun » Tue Jan 08, 2013 12:38 am

If a user paves a road in the client, when they complete it, they'll see this:

Done?

Click 'Stop' and make sure to go to http://www.waze.com/livemap to name this new road and publish it.

The problem is, the livemap has nothing to do with naming and fixing up new roads. Should a user take this advice, they'll end up on the Livemap page, where we already know the visible layer is months out of date, and it's not obvious what a user is supposed to do, unless they're lucky enough to click 'update map'.

Can you please change this error/notification to point instead to http://www.waze.com/editor?

(I have heard rumors that 'pave road' is no longer the ideal way to add roads, but whether true or not, this is STILL pointing people in the wrong direction, and will only lead to frustration if anyone attempts to take this advice. Some of the editors/champs on here have complained that users just don't pave roads after they make them, and given this erroneous message, I wouldn't expect them to try.)

This can be tweaked in the translation file.
Check the translation team of your country.

You still got users preferring English over local translation... So this workaround works only partially.

if it looks strange, it's my phone's fault
