Report pop-ups not working

Postby vernl4 » Mon Feb 18, 2013 8:05 pm

Reports no longer pop-up when I'm sitting still. The screen blinks and starts to zoom out, like it's going to show the reports, but nothing displays, and a second later, the screen zooms back in to my current location. Advertisements for nearby retailers do work, but not the traffic reports.

Thank you,
Tom

Just for a test I have reverted to Play Store version and drove to work and back. No pop-ups, no traffic alerts. Problem is at server level. Those crying about too many pop-ups got their wish but whole thing about "carmageddon resistance" is lost.

Same here. No pup-ups, just zoom change and local adds.

I believe this is a new restriction at Google's end and can't be remedied.

Bugger, and Bing's reporting and POI update takes ages. Plus I hate M$ I'm loathed to help.
There's always Foursquare...

Foursquare is my goto POI database for exactly the same reason that I use waze and Wikipedia. Crowdsourced ftw.

How do you get to see that reports? You tap on them on the map? They pop when standing-still?

Tap report on map. Then in pop-up is reported by: (blank)

New findings.
I have checked one of my reports with other (test) account, running one of previous beta versions. Same result.
I suspect root might be in usage of special characters in my nickname. Mine current is PistaTT@octavia. I haven't encountered this behavior with play store release.

Did you sent logs? At what time?

I assume @8:31 UTC+1?
