Hi Matt,

I've downlocked it for you.

I must admit I'm not sure whether it will help. I should know what level is allowed to do what, but I'm afraid I don't, and I wouldn't be surprised if a level 1 isn't allowed to do closures. Post again if you can't manage it (and give some details of what the closures should be).

Please do keep editing, and you'll get up to at least level 2 pretty quickly. :)

Hi Matt,

Yes a link to an image might be clearer, "one picture is worth a thousand words" :)

Hi Matt,

Thanks for this information.

I've extended the existing closure of the A1017 to block the turns too. And I've changed the speed limits. Have I got the 20mph area right?

Someone will need to revert the speed limits in July; you should be able to do that so put in a fresh unlock request when the time comes.

I'll mention this to James Kingdom too as he's the local AM.

Ipswich, Suffolk Unlock request

Postby franglais76 » Tue Apr 13, 2021 4:10 pm

Hi Editors,

I would like to be able to edit the following segment(s).
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Permalink: https://waze.com/en-GB/editor?env=row&l ... =180185629

Reason: Construction work until the middle of July. I have local knowledge of closures and temporary speed restrictions and can help with fellow Wazers.

The edit requires level 4 permissions, I'm only a level 1 editor, unfortunately.

Thank you in advance,
Matt

Hi Ian,

You're correct about a level 1 not being able to instate closures. Would it be easier if I attached a link to an image indicating where the disallowed turns are?

Many thanks, Matt

Hi Ian

Here's the image showing the only permitted terms during the works, hope it helps.

Image: https://prnt.sc/11gmfcx

The 30 mph limit extends from the small roundabout on A1214 adjacent to Tesco Extra all the way north along A1214 to just past Robin Drive (where the road is normally 30mph), with a small 20 mph section at the traffic lights near Holiday Inn.

Many thanks, Matt

Hi Ian,

All looks good, just 2 segments need downgrading to 20mph and then it'll be accurate.

Thanks for putting this in for me
