L4-> L3 Unlock Request - A3259 Taunton, Somerset

Hi - My Level 3

Reason for request:

Please can a level 4 editor down lock the below segments so I may edit the road alignment including a new T junction for the relief road. Many thanks in advance.

Also looking at Openmaps as a guide not sure if the remainder of the A3259 needs downgrading to a primary street due to this new relief road and the section from Sellicks Road down to the A38 could be made a minor highway?

Down to 3. Rather than using new segments, can you just realign the existing A3259 segments to form the new junction.

To answer your question, road type changes seem a good plan, are you able to confirm road classifications, does the A3259 just follow the new shorter route, as you'll also need to update their names accordingly.

All relocked, I've set the new bypass route as Prefered routing which means the routing server should treat it equally to the Minor Highway road type.

Thanks for the downlock :D

For now it seems the A3259 is keeping that designation, so as not to confuse matters I have left the A3259 as is and made the relief road down to the A38 a primary street. In time there will be a bus gate where the A3259 meets the A38 further east so may change names in future. Ready to be locked back to 4. :D
