Hi Stu,

Thanks a lot for adding the closures. I agree with you, adding temporary restrictions makes more sense.

Funny that you asked this question, I just walked past the crossing. The segment (https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon ... =137276069) you mentioned is closed to all traffic (blocked off, both ends). However, this segment (https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon ... =137276026) is now open for traffic in both ways. I saw buses doing a right turn around this and it was not pretty (the turn is just too steep and their turning radius too huge). So maybe Edinburgh Council will open the blocked off segment at some point...

Cheers
Chris

PS: I am looking forward to the closure of Leith St, that will be a mess...

Hi dmcconachie,

As far as I know, nobody is. The overall plan for Leith St is described here: http://www.edinburghstjames.com/downloa ... et_Web.pdf . I am planning to post recommendations for closures once I see what the council actually has done.

Also, I am just seeing another "turn not allowed" notification for Carlton Ter Brae. As it is, the road itself is not closed, but entrance from Regent Rd/Montrose Ter is blocked. I added temporary turn restrictions, but my level does not allow me to edit the final road segment:

Could someone please limit turning north into Carlton Ter Brae until 2018-Jul-31.

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris/Stu, is somebody on top of the associated closure of Leith Street in its entirety? I don't see anything yet on the editor or forum. Unfortunately I can't add closures myself due to browser restrictions!

the HQ controlled "Waze_roadclosures" account has added closures for it earlier today, starting 1st Sept, through to 31st July 2018
My understanding is from first thing on the 2nd September through to July so that just about works.

Thanks Chris, I'll put these in for you now.

I've put in a temporary closure for this week, just to make it active before the longer term restrictions I've also added become active.

As the changes are one-way, and long term, I thought a restriction was best here since a closure can look like the road is entirely closed in the app, which isn't in fact the case here.

HI Chris.

We had a comment left on the closures earlier today, saying "can turn right here". it was added to the closure on the north-east corner.

Do you know of they've enabled a right turn (southerly) from London Rd onto Montrose Terrace ? i.e. this segment is now two-way, or reversed?

Thanks Chris. I added the turn restriction into Carlton ter Brae. I couldn't add a temporary one-way closure because the segment has been changed today.

You also added exit restrictions from Carlton ter Brae, is that right? https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon ... =338656263

cheers
