L4 Bicester - New speed limit

Hi, a UR has confirmed that the stretch below is now 30mph. Can't find anything online to support this, but the reporter has confirmed.

I'm thinking this is a temporary limit due to a new junction for the adjacent development. Roadworks.org has temporary lights until 5th June. I'm unsure if this should be mapped :? Is it worth asking the reporter if this is due to the roadworks, are they temporary signs :?:

There is no sign of a change on Oxfordshire's consultation website, nor any mention in any local news site.

Closest I could find was for the northern end showing 50 limit but not the fill length. Consultation - Plan

Speed limit updated.

Also, this road looks like a very good route for some quite long journeys, e.g. Oxford to Buckingham. The rest of the route is Highway (Major or Minor), but this stretch of Primary Street in the middle would break the route so far as Waze long-distance routing is concerned.

Unless it's given "preferred" routing status, which upgrades it one notch (from Primary Street to Minor Highway) for routing purposes - so I've made this change too. Could be persuaded to revert it if you think it a bad idea.

Certainly if it's temporary for road works it will need changing back on WME about 3 days before the roadworks finish. I'll leave Kevin to worry about it. :)

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread...

Exactly as others have said above, this limit is only reduced for creation of the new junction/access to a couple of new build parcels of land. I'll try and remember to re-post in here once it needs restoring to it's normally posted limit of 50mph.

Can these segments be downlocked to L1 so that I can now put the correct speed limits back in, as the works are completed and it has reverted back to it's posted limits.

I have driven it just now for confirmation!
