W/out BT -> no chance either. But: entering a destination via the microphone button in the client works perfect!

The current iOS release fails for ASR with Prefer BT enabled. It isn't receiving what you speak via whatever BT device is connected.

Is it using BT headset or car or does the "beep" come out the phone speaker?

When I'm not in the car, everything comes out of the phone speaker...

You're seeing similar to me then. But for me, when not in the car, or BT is totally turned off (in iOS), voice commands are recognized when input to the phone microphone. Not sure what's up with German ASR... :(

Happy to let you know have enable the ASR in 16 languages!!!

Well.. Still not available in German. (Although it's "replying" (can't hear you; once again) in German....

Hi
Does ASR use automatically the default language settings of the country you are in....?

I am asking because I have an all-English setup in Brazil, only ASR speaks to me in Portuguese and expects to be talked back to in Portuguese.

If this is the case, it is possibly not the wisest decision, just think of heavy national holiday travel all around Europe....

Thanks
Ingo

Is it possible to translate ASR feature ? and start enabling the feature outside the USA.

Hi milkyway35

At this time the ASR feature is open only in USA for Wazers using TTS English-US and we cannot currently support different languages.

However, we do have future plans to localize the ASR feature and expend Waze support in additional countries but it will take some time before we can enable it or even test it.

Best,
Orit

So im Back....

I definitely do not believe, that it has something to do with capitalization. All tts stuff works fine, people simply do not know the comands, this will change... And why should a B left out a t?

ASR

Postby bedo2991 » Mon Oct 28, 2013 6:23 pm

I took an hour to understand why ASR would not understand one command.
In transifex, be careful to translate strings with exactly the same case.
Don't translate lower case strings using any uppercase letter, otherwise it won't be understood.

Thank you bebo, you are correct.
Happy to let you know have enable the ASR in 16 languages!!!

I'd be happy to use it but I can't because I am in Germany now, and for the Waze wise implementation nobody in Germany wan't to use the italian TTS.
