Waze Localization- New Team Member & Updates
Hi Localizers!
Abigail and I are very excited to welcome Rebecca to our Localization team!
Because of all your efforts, amazing contributions, patience, dedication and engagement Waze supports and maintains 40 languages, helping Wazers worldwide feel right at home About 73% of Wazers use non English languages on their daily drive (Wow thats a lot)!
Not only that, Waze also supports 30 languages in the Waze website & editor! Everyday more languages are getting closer to a 100% translation, and will be added soon.
We also support the gas station feature in 43 countries, and toll roads in 26 countries.
Last but not least road closure data provided by the community enables us to support more then 100 localized traffic events per month! About half of these are featured on Waze website and the numbers are rising.
So, getting back to my original topic (what can I say, guess I have the localization bug in me ) Lets give a warm welcome to Rebecca, our newest localization coordinator. Now that we have an additional member on the team we will be able to be A LOT more active in the forums, and get back to you sooner!
We are proud to be a part of this amazing community, and as we always say, 'for the community by the community'.
