Bueno el tema específicamente era sobre las áreas verdes, que como ya es sabido la comunidad chilena ha establecido lo siguiente:
"Las áreas verdes a marcar son sólo las que son parques públicos o privados donde puedan ir personas, no el pasto en la acera del frente, ni en los bandejones separadores de vías.
- Los bosques a destacar son los de acceso público. No cada campo que tenga bosque. Tampoco cada árbol que aparece en el camino."

y bueno esto tiene sentido por que las áreas verdes que están a los costados de las calles u otras como arboles son innecesarias pero hay ciertas áreas verdes que no cumplen con los requisitos para ser creadas como áreas pero que si pueden ser de utilidad como referencia para los usuarios que recorren lugares nuevos y no conocen. doy el siguiente ejemplo:

En esta carretera, hay 2 cruces similares y contiguos, pero uno de ellos tiene una zona de áreas verdes y la otra no



entonces podría ser útil el área verde para poder comparar si uno va por buen camino.







Por eso creo que seria buena idea aveces considerar dejar algunas áreas verdes como places y no eliminarlas todas por eliminarlas no mas.

Muy interesante el tema de los estacionamientos

la verdad yo lo resumiría en:

- Si el lugar es grande como área.
- Si es chico como punto.

lo digo por que uno aveces busca lugares de forma visual y no escribiéndolo en el buscador.

Yo apoyo las areas verdes para:

- Bandejones centrales (sirven de referencia para búsquedas manuales)
- Plazas o plazuelas (aunque no tengan nombre conocido)
- Lugares famosos como cerros o reservas naturales con nombre.
- Parques comunales.

claro, en ese caso, ni siquiera se podría ver en el mapa lo verde
