I have just tried and it seems to me that the search is correct:

The app only returns results within a certain radius of your current position.

The result is very often targeting the wrong position.
If you searching a city, it return a gps position shifted than the real one.
And the results show only the region without the city name.

In italy we are using G db and not W db.

Place is on map, but search can't find it

Postby manub » Tue Aug 13, 2013 6:59 am

Hi all!!

Tomorrow I'm flying to Italy (I live in the UK) and I plan to use Waze for my road trip.

I need to go to a place called "Santa Maria di Castellabate". I checked on Waze map and the place is there (both on the website and on the phone!), but with different names ("S. Maria di Castellabate" for example). Problem is, if I'm trying to search for the place on the phone now, I can't find it. I'm worried this will happen tomorrow - although now I'm more than 1000km away from there.

Do you think once I land I will get better search results?

Cheers :)
