Residential Places / Edit House Numbers

Post by SparkieChris
I've a question. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but maybe someone could bring me up to speed?

If a user creates a residential place without a photo, such that actually only the location of (usually) their house number is new information, is it best to just check the position, accept, and leave it; or would it be better to accept it, delete it, and use the Edit House Numbers feature to add the location?

Thanks in advance team.

Regards,
Chris

You can accept a RPP without a photo, it is after all a legitimate Waze feature.

See the UK Wazeopedia Places guidance.

The main difference is that the house numbers can only be edited in WME but places can also be edited and moved by users in the app.

I have asked several times about how these features work together, and specifically what happens if we have both at different locations  but never had any definitive answer.

With the added issues of house names not being properly supported by either of these features this is something we should raise at the UK Conference.

Thanks Chris, sorry for my delay in getting back to you. Yes I usually do accept them as per that guidance, only I suspect that the feature to edit a street's house numbers has been added since that guidance was written and so, for simple residential places without photos, might be the preferred method?

Chris
