Yes you can, for an additional charge of £10 for a double room (child is free).

It not too late, though I really should close the registration form soon.

A new group conversation will be created on Hangouts some time next week, and all attendees will be invited to join. Individuals can 'mute' it if it gets too chatty, or leave it as they wish.

Stay tuned!

9:30, though you'll probably not miss anything if you're a bit late.

Everyone who registered will have a name booked for them in their name.

I've also added everyone to a group chat on Hangouts - PM me if you don't see that.

A couple of questions.
Can I book a room for Friday for 2 adults and 1 child, but only 1 adult to the conference?
Is there a route that avoids the congestion charge from the West of England?
Also, am I too late?

Many thanks to Tim, Iain, Dave and all the other members of the UK team involved in organising things today, and to the Waze team for making the trip over here and giving us more insights into what's been going on, and will be going on, behind the scenes. Good work one and all, same again next year please :D

What’s my best bet for getting round to the conference in the shortest time? I had a look at the DLR, which would get me there at a very timely 08:55, but would the bus or tube or anything be faster, more reliable or even possible?
The DLR is part-closed for engineering work next weekend, so you'd need to get the DLR from LCY to Woolwich Arsenal, then change to a SouthEastern train to Greenwich. Journey time is 30 minutes.

To be pedantic, SouthEastern run 4 trains an hour from Woolwich Arsenal to Greenwich, Thameslink just one, maybe 2, so don't worry about train operator. The SouthEastern's all go to London Cannon St, Thameslink to Luton.

I've now visited all the pubs that Challenger suggested.

Belushi's - I would avoid like the plague - all glass and chrome tables, no atmosphere. Perhaps a place to stop on the way back from:

The Ashburnham Arms - nice local pub serving food in the evening, possibly with a BBQ, a bit off the beaten track so probably used by the locals rather than visitors. It didn't open today until 4pm so I couldn't see the inside, but I understand they have a function room we may be able to use.

The Morden Arms doesn't serve food at all - purely a drinking establishment with live music on Friday evenings.

I did look at a couple of the other locals, but none of them had extensive evening menus, and were closer into Greenwich town centre so likely to attract the tourist trade, so my recommendation is that we head for the Ashburnham Arms.

[Edited to correct the url for the place marker]

cw1998 wrote:Do you think Waze would be open to paying for Saturday night accommodation instead of Friday night? Flights from NI are particularly useless this time around flying Friday-Saturday. ie, no returning flights after 5 pm on Saturday. Saturday-Sunday is somewhat more convenient (and cheaper).
You can specify that in the form :)

(had to do some ms paint editing because the drop-down appears over the question)

I was about to ask actually, Revolut will probably be just fine.
