Yes, this is the place. I'll put in a note that you'd like 2 nights, and I'll email you when I have details about that.

For anyone else still dithering... final call for registrations!

Parking: The hotel car park is based on a first come first serve and is chargeable; they are unable to reserve spaces. The cost of the car park is £18.00 for 6 to 24 hours.

Should the car park be full the nearest one is at the back of the hotel on Brunswick Street, B1 2JF which is a 3 story car park with the same rates.

Reminder: When claiming reimbursement of travel costs, you will need to provide both digital and physical copies of applicable receipts and invoices. For fuel costs, you'll need a recent fuel receipt, and an estimate of how much fuel you have used for the round trip. I'll send everyone a link to the necessary form just before the event.

My apologies, I'm usually better organised than this. If you have applied, then you can assume that you've been accepted. I'll send out confirmation messages this evening - if you don't hear from me then please do get in touch.

You'll have to pay it initially, but you might be able to claim it back from Waze as a travel reimbursement. No promises though.

Given how convenient the location is for the station, and the relative journey times by car and train from home, the train is looking a more attractive option for me now as well - does it matter if I change my travel plans compared with the mode of transport I'd originally indicated on the registration form?

Also, when reimbursing train fares, do Waze cover the cost regardless of ticket type (advance, open return etc) and class of travel? I'm tempted by the extra space in first class, and if Waze would cover the full cost then great, but if they'd only cover the equivalent standard ticket price then what paperwork would I need to provide given I wouldn't have a receipt for that std ticket?

hublander wrote:Checking National Rail Enquiries the cheapest fare from Euston to New Street is £7.00 if booked now on the Friday ;) Might be cheaper than parking for the weekend but then it is also the stopping train which takes 2 hours.
I've just booked my train - Euston - Birmingham New St. First class advance 12/07 14:43 arr 16:04 £25.75; BNS-EUS 1st ADV 13/07 18:30 arr 19:55 £15.20. (with discount from Senior Railcard). If Waze deem that too expensive, I don't mind only claiming the standard class off-peak fare of £46.35!
