Some coverage (albeit with limited local knowledge) is better than none which is essentially what we have there at the moment.
Remember CMs will have very little local knowledge either - the extent of mine being a visited for a week in the summer.
I'd rather have a non-local AM who showed the gumption to come onto the forum and have a knowledge of the editor and UK guidelines than a local AM who just made a mess any day!
