Re-waze of Loganlea Rd, Slacks Creek QLD required

Post by hawknz
Hi all,

As some of you Brisvegas wazers know, there has recently been some major road re-alignments at the junction of Loganlea Rd, Pacific Hwy & Winnetts Rd, Slacks Creek/Daisy Hill.

I'm not due to go that way for the next few months. If someone is in that area, can you please re-pave, so we can re-draw the maps to show the correct alignment. I could re-draw it based on recent wazers GPS points and a recent online aerial photos of 10/Jan from other s/w I use to compare, but it could get a bit messy.

Let's see what response I get. :)

Thanks in advance.

What makes you think that after FIVE posts on this forum that you are able to do the kind of work Area Managers do? No offence, but try a few hundred posts and do some real editing before you apply.

I have already fixed a little bit some of the exits and entries into the M1 that don't exist anymore in that area.
Thanks for the offer pipelongar. I believe the roadwork in that area is almost completed, so it would be good to update before Waze puts out an update to the phone maps.
I'm being temporarily relocated to the Ports of Brisbane and possibly heading north up to Bundaberg for the next 2 months, so I won't get the opportunity to drive around Daisy Hill (normally based in Browns Plains area).

He's based in NSW but is a country AM. I've talked with him on several occasions.
Good bloke to work with on the maps.

xtago wrote: a Lot of logan is actually a mess with streets with wrong suburb names, but I've been doing a few location edits for POIs etc.

I also did the petrol station list for the whole of Australia so see what happens there I did that Tuesday night, I haven't heard anything more about that so hopefully will be able to add petrol prices into the mix as well.
Hi Xtago,

I've extended my AM range to cover Slacks Creek, Logan and surrounding areas so if you need any help, just send a PM as there are a few of us that still read these forums.

I must agree with you in regards to streets & wrong suburb names, but it's a nationwide thing. I find that most days, if I'm not drawing up new roads I've freshly wazed, I'm fixing up other ppls mistakes or those people who have wazed but haven't updated the names & junctions on the editor.

I don't know how the petrol station thing will work out over here as it's still a new feature. I hope it will work well as it will give Waze a good leg up.

I think I can drive around that area this coming week.

I have already fixed a little bit some of the exits and entries into the M1 that don't exist anymore in that area.

OK, I did a bit of driving in that area to remap the Loganlea Rd, as it crosses over the M1. But as it turns out, the area where I am Area Manager finishes some 300 m to the west of that crossing (missed by that much). Loganlea Rd at that point is locked, probably by its AM, so I cannot edit it.

If the AM of that area reads this, can you please unlock the Loganlea Rd where it crosses the M1 (Slacks Creek), and the surrounding roads, so that area can be updated according to the recent road works? Thanks.
