Soon a modified Highlighter scriptwill be available, that checks any Citynames against a table of valid Citynames. I pulled the necessary data from postcode search and applied the rules written down in Australia City naming (Wiki) and handed that over to our local scriptwizard here - he made similar mods for Austria only first, but now he has done it for various other countries too and offered to make an Oz-mod too, if I provide the data - which I did

Yes, it's HiLiCi (though we all urged to call it CHiLi) and available in the userscripts.org

I personally use Australia Post's postcode search, which works very well for me.

I've got a government page bookmarked on my other computer from the sticky city issues thread. It's great except for the bit where you have to decipher between Homesteads, Suburbs, Cities, Localities, Lakes etc.etc.etc...

Will have a look at this one tonight.
