Trinity Site Tour 5 Apr 14 & VLA
Those who are in the Southwest and want to go to Trinity, it is open now only once a year, this time Saturday April 5th. You can drive unescorted onto the White Sands Missile Range from the north gate near San Antonio, NM. While there, stop at the Owl Cafe in San Antonio for lunch.
Trinity is the site where the first atomic bomb was detonated. There are usually self tours of the site and the Farm House where the device had final assembly.
The actual gate around the site is open 8 am to 2 pm, with the site closing down at 330 pm.
