Is it possible to receive a full list of abbreviations in the Canadian sheet? That is, effectively, a list of all non-standard English abbreviations?

FYI, there's no longer an issue with accented characters in English.

Something goofy is going on with TTS behind the scenes. I discussed it with Abigail a month or two ago. It's not consistent.

- Av will sometimes be pronounced "avenue" and sometimes as "av".

- Rue Saint-Rémi is being pronounced "rue saint R-E-acute-M-I".

- Ch is pronounced as either "skemin" or "chemin" in English, and sometimes as "chemine" ("shemeen") in French.

Cardinal points will have to be written out because there is only one map. N = nord/north, E = est/east, S= sud/south, but an ENglish TTS will never pronounce O as west. It always has to be written out.

Remember that Waze is not only for locals. A lot of visiting Canadians and Americans need to get directions that make sense in English even if the road names are written in French.

The road signs are not supposed to follow official toponomy in any place. They are supposed to follow what the local street signs say. The use of a hyphen usually doesn't make a difference, though.

You should only capitalize the "de" in the name of a road if it is the name of a person, but it should not take a hyphen. Rue de Terrebonne but Rue De Maisonneuve and Rue Pierre-De Coubertin and Rue De La Verendrye. Sometimes, you have to know the history: Rue Des Ormeaux but Rue des Ormes.
