Narragansett Pier?
Hi
So I noticed a few roads with the "Narragansett Pier" set as the city. They were near the Pier in Narragansett, so I thought it was a typo. I started to fix them to Narragansett, but now I'm seeing there are a ton of roads with that "city".
In 27 years living here I've never heard anyone refer to "Narragansett Pier", except to say the landmark of the actual Pier in Narragansett. The zip code is all the same for Narragansett, and the Narragansett Police & Post Office, even the "Narragansett Town Beach" are listed in waze as being part of "Narragansett Pier".
So before I go correct them all, is there a logical explanation for why it should be kept? I can understand Wakefield and Peacedale, as they have their own zip codes. But village names without zip codes that aren't referenced by locals seems confusing to me?
