Red light and Speed cameras

Post by AtomicNomad
I didn't think that these automated systems were legal in the state of Vermont. If they're not legal why put them on the waze map? That goes for the driver courtesy radar feedback systems too. While there are cameras popping up at intersections staet wide, those are just traffic cameras, whose purpose is.... blow through the Vermont transportation budget?

Or am I wrong?

According to http://www.ghsa.org/html/stateinfo/laws ... force.html and http://www.iihs.org/laws/automated_enforcement.aspx#VT Vermont does NOT have any speed or red light camera laws or programs. That means cameras should not be reported or approved in Waze and all reported cameras should be removed.

If there are approved cameras in the state (i.e. they alert in the app), you should contact the user who approved them and point them to the Cameras page in the Waze Wiki.
