FYI I just came down from Burlington to Albany (and Ithaca), and it tried hard to get me to go up through Canada, around the top of the lake. I had to go south down 7 and part of 22A until it admitted there was another route.
There will be little or no data on delay through border checkpoints because data roaming costs money (and I don't know if non-USA data integrates with USA data anyway). We shouldn't just assign a blanket 30 minutes for all US border crossings since they vary tremendously. I suspect borders will be a problem for a very long time.
