Yesterday I tried to get alternative routes for more than 20 minutes and it simply did not work. I have the impression that for larger distances (more than 100 km) it always times out. When I was getting closer it started to work.

Another problem I have is that after I select an alternative route it stops moving the map to follow my position (so I have to do it manually) and it also stops pointing the directions. The "target" sign simply does not work.

Routing was unavailable today (5 to 6pm) on my journey from Hearne Bay to Gillingham (Kent). Luckily there was virtually no traffic and I know the route well, but still annoying. Also the routing keeps disappearing between Junctions 4 and 6 of the M20 east bound (doesn't seem to matter what time of day I travel this route?!)

Server timed out yet again during a journey today, in an area where there is good cell phone network coverage. Signal didn't come back in until I was parked up outside my house. Pretty frustrating really!

I am also getting Routing Server Timeouts more frequently since about a week or two ago. Happens at all times throughout the day. Morning, prelunch, lunch-time, dinner time even after my class is done around 9pm.

I've been using Waze faithfully since last July or August with no problems. The other problem I have been having is going off the designated route, now my Waze will not recalculate a route or it just freezes.

Loving Waze until about 2 weeks ago. I currently use my iPhone 3GS in a TomTom GPS adapter for a stronger signal since July/August too.

Sunday Dec 29th 2013 all day long I-90 all the way across new york state and along I-79 from Pittsburgh to Erie PA was unable to connect to the routing server. I would try every 15-20 minutes. Today (Jan 2nd 2014) was the first time I tried Waze again, my daily commute to work, I-95 around Boston area was unable to connect to the routing server with several attempts on the way in, 8-9 AM EST. I'm able to connect now, while in the office at at work. In both cases I was able to use internet on the phone and download maps while traveling, notifications were working, but routing was not working at all.

Too much traffic? High load times? (routing traffic, not car traffic!!!) I would have expected Sunday the 29th to not be a high load situation. Perhaps AT&T Wireless is blocking the routing server?
