Avoid Ferry Option not working

noticed while driving from nj to nyc it was taking me to nj ferry - went into settings to turn on the "avoid ferry" but keeps taking me that way, worse is even all the alternate routes only show the ferry as an option!

Very frustrating glitch - renders Waze useless. Set to avoid ferries, Waze ironically lists no other route but, sometimes doubling the commute time.

How on earth is this so hard to fix??????????

This is a known issue and Waze staff is working on fixing the ferry navigation issues.
