They should restore automatically, but sometimes there are issues.

The best way to proceed is to delete the app, clear the data off the SD card (remove the Waze directory), reboot the phone. Re-download the app from the store. Sign in with your Waze ID, not Facebook, and as part of it's start-up routine, should restore your favorites. You will need to manually change all your settings to where you had them before, though.

Favourites Gone

Postby mropinionsa » Fri Nov 02, 2012 8:27 am

Just updated to latest version of waze on galaxy s2 jelly beans and every single one of my favourites has gone. My points are still good but I had 60+ favourites. How do I get them back???

When 3.5 first installed, all my favorites carried over. However due to crashing issues I uninstalled it, deleted the Waze folder and reinstalled. The new install made no attempt to restore my favorites from the server. Rebooted, uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted, still no attempt by 3.5 to restore my favorites from the server.

Logging in with Waze account (never used Facebook).
