There were street segments at the Ambassador Bridge crossing which have been changed. The route north of Lake Erie seems to now be the preferred route.

The erroneous turn restriction along King Hwy 401 appears to be fixed so that waze will route straight from Windsor to Toronto. So if you now try the link provided earlier in this thread from Toledo to Toronto, waze provides two routes - one north of Lake Erie at 4 1/2 hours and one south at 6 3/4 hours. Waze lists the longer route first. I get the same results on my phone.

If I don't ask for routes waze defaults to the 200 mile/2 hr longer route. (Although, if I ask for the shortest route, the first pick is north of Lake Erie.)

I don't know why waze defaults to a route that is said to be longer and slower.

Now they're different, but I'm not getting a route on either.

There seems to be a erroneous turn restriction along that route. I reported it here: viewtopic.php?f=358&t=47367

Waze does hate to route north of Lake Erie as discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=44145

I don't know why.

Saw that, don't know what I'm doing wrong. But from that point, pick a start and end in Toronto.

Yep, screwed that up. Update live map links to 2 spots along I-75.

I was playing with the live map, when I go along I-75 and pick a road with a ramp to I-75, I get the routes thru the states until I get north of State Rte 613 north of Van Buren. Then the second route mileage is under 400.

Pick a spot on front st to Toronto,ON from here:

Then from a point on SR-613:

May have to wait for turn errors in Canada to be corrected. Could be a penalty higher that way.
A work around for now may be to set a shorter stop point for meals or gas till you get to Toledo.

Edit: Just saw that the errors in Canada have been fixed. Just have to wait for them to go live and test again.

No, thought you were trying on your phone. You can't adjust toll avoidance or fastest/shortest route on live map.

Have you tried to adjust your starting point closer to the destination? Sometimes you can narrow it down to a turn restriction that is causing the miss routing. Once you find where it does work, then you know it is between those to spots.
