There was a time when waze would suck more battery power than can be charged. So after a trip of a couple of hours, while on the car charger, my battery would go from 90% to 30%. Since, they've optimized it quite a bit to the point of even or slight gains in the battery.

So... Any additional features that will suck battery power will only make it go south.

If I understand correctly, using the TTS engine will necessitate more CPU power than playing back static audio (which stutters nevertheless). Doesn't the GPS consume way more battery than TTS would?
