Somehow I cannot set a closure in SA but if does work fine in NL. I do not understand why. It this a known issue for foreign editors? In the meantime, could you please set the closure? I do agree with your point that Waze will automagically re-open it

There are probably many more segments with this same issue. Should we really go ahead and edit theses? It is L5 so they can be lowered to L3 so I can do it or a L5/L6 may do it. I don't mind either way.

Also, this is at the border of my area so I could not even do all of it.

Yes, the closure is in the correct place.

As stated above I did mix 2 issue though. I still need help with the issue that HIGHWAY is spelled as H W Y and pronounced as the three letters:

My suggestion would be to inform the user that a fix request was sent to Waze but could take "some" time and then close the UR. You suggested to rename. But then we would need to rename all highways. Where do we start

It's a South Africa thing. Currently closures are restricted to L5 and above only. I've raised this already and it's been passed on to DaerthGeffen, the CM, for thinking about. (But that was a month or so ago, so may need to prod the chap in question)

A bunch of the names seem to have stopped working. Off hand I know Dr. (for Doctor) and Expy (for Expressway) don't work. I'd say something like we are aware of the issue and are working on a fix - then change the name of the road to "Highway" instead of "Hwy" until we can figure out what is happening with TTS.

As far as the closure on the railroad goes, will Waze not detect when there is traffic crossing it and then remove it?

Just to confirm, the closure Leigh added is in the right place...?

That's right - if they don't meet the wiki standards they will need to be renamed. I do them as and when I see them, mainly focussing on the cardinal directions. In the meantime I've changed Ruth First.
