TTS problems

Hi,

Having learnt at a recent conference that the character '>' gives 'towards' in the TTS on the app, I've been trialling it on the ramps around Johannesburg. Had a report in today saying TTS spoke it as 'greater than' instead of 'towards'. Does anyone know why this happened? I don't want to have to redo all my hard work :(

Sounds like TTS is updating slowly. I'll do a mix of ">" and "to" until problems are sorted.

Found out through the UK forum that the "greater than" problem is caused by additional letters after the (N/M/R) + (1/2/3 etc.) combinations. Therefore N1 > Pretoria will give "N1 towards Pretoria", but N1 N > Pretoria will give "N1 N greater than Pretoria"

I've discovered that our TTS doesn't follow the same as other countries for some reason. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that you'd get "towards" in GB but not in SA. Seems like TTS hasn't been our friend lately.

Late reply Ian, but this route works fine.

It correctly announces 'M 60 West towards Wendywood' for the right turn after taking the ramp.
