Welcoming SA editors to Slack.
Dear colleague editors,
Since the mapraid I've stayed around on Slack, had 2 area's assigned and I've been working together a lot with Cyburst while keeping close contact via Slack. We've both made quite some progress on the SA map and learned a lot from working together.
As I am from the Netherlands I was used to having most of my editing colleagues on Slack. In NL we have a lot of interactions this way. Any editor can ask a question and can expect help from a random colleague within minutes.
Recently Cyburst and I have invited the first editors to join us and we are making the first steps to help others.
Hereby I would like to invite anyone interested to come and join us. It will help discussing harder to solve issue and hopefully learn from each other.
What is Slack: Slack is a free chat program that allows users to chat in groups but also one on one. You can create a account and install it on PC, phone, tablet etc. You can share links and also picture (screenshots) etc.
Slack is not a replacement of the forum and wiki. My intent is not to have this replace any of them.
Interested? Please sign up here: http://bit.ly/SlackInviteInt
When signed in, connect to the #south-africa channel.
Hope to see you on chat.
Dave
