Has anyone been able to edit and create new roads on cartouche?

I've been wazing around quite a bit in the last week, but only once managed to come close to editing a road on which I drove, only to be stopped by the "no permission" error.

Today. some streets I drove on are now appearing as streets in the iPhone app. I still cannot get cartouche to show up anything but the South-Africa coastline. None of the mapped roads show up.

I'd like to contribute, but the system seems hugely unreliable?

What are the experiences from other SA wazers?
