Thanks for the report. I will let a Massachusetts expert make a final decision but the entrance to the express lane has a sign that says "Open to All Traffic"

I do see the sign at the split you are referring to does show the HOV symbol in both direction

Also, adding a restriction for Hazardous Materials does not affect anything in Waze since it does not support those types of vehicles.

There are several restrictions available in the map editor that are not options in the app. We don't know why they have it in there, but they have been pretty clear that they have no plans on supporting those type of vehicles.

Where is that sign located at? Can you provide a permalink to the location?

Thanks though I will go there soon and update you if street view is correct with the sign 'Open To All Traffic'.
Edit: I found this: https://prnt.sc/po76j3 does that count?

It's https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor?env=u ... s=57601266 north of the intersection of SSC (going southbound).

Hi,

Those segments have undergone several experiments by the DOT of MA in which they were looking to see what traffic impact there would be if they removed the HOV restriction. We know that one such experiment was supposed to end on the last day of September, however, they have not sent emails alerting anyone to confirm this.

Also the link you provided to screen captures of street view photos are quite old - one was from 2011. We cannot trust them as the pre-date the DOT experiments. Rest assured that local editors will be driving by to verify the status of those segments ASAP.

As for hazardous material restrictions, they do not and would not be in Waze as the app is intended for passenger vehicles.

Thanks,
SanzClew

Just to circle back to this issue. I have been thru that area and can confirm that the HOV restrictions have not been re-established. The segments are correct as drawn. Thanks for your report.
