Hi, unfortunately I don't have time to respond with a very long post because I'm at work. However long story short: It's illegal for Waze to provide information about speed cameras because of the Swiss law:

So they removed them and blocked the ability to add new ones.

Waze can still warn you if you are going over the limit with an audio warning:

You can choose to be warned if you go over +5km/h, +10km/h, +15km/h or +20km/h compared to the legal limitation. I've been using this ever since they added it to the app with a warning set for +5km/h over so I can still drive 54-55 in a 50km/h zones without getting a warning. I've never been flashed by a speed cam since, it's very reliable.

It is illegal to use apps which warns from speed-cameras in Switzerland. Therefore it is good, that waze removed them from the map, otherwise I would not been allowed to use the app anymore.

But what happens with the warnings, that user can submit while driving (e.g. "police control/checkpoint")? I assume that an app which shows such warnings might also be regarded illegal. Or does waze ignore such warnings from waze-drivers and not showing them to the community?
