Bridging segments increments the elevation by 1

Post by hitfactor
I've tried a couple searches on this, but no luck.

When I bridge two segments together the elevation increments by one. If I bridge another segment to a segment I just joined it increments again.

Using suppress unneeded junctions this does not happen.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm on Win8.1 and Chrome.

It took me awhile to realize this, but that *is* the bridge functionality. You're much better off using "D" to remove a node.

Thanks, but I'm not sure I understand.

I use 'D' to remove extra nodes frequently. But when I need to join two segments together, I select both segments and the 'bridge' symbol appears and I click that to make one segment.

I've been all over the map fixing elevation changes I made inadvertently.

I'm glad you are available, looks like I need some more mentoring.;)
