Hi all,

There are some wicked road closures in store for Downtown Detroit on Monday, June 22. Starting at 6:00 PM, this closure map will be in effect (except for the area I have highlighted in green - those closures are permanent and should not be messed with):

I don't have a hard time as to when these will reopen, it seems like it's at DPD's discretion. Fireworks start at 10:06, so the roads in bold will likely reopen an hour or so after the start time.

Roads affected are as follows:

- M-10 from I-75 to Jefferson (northbound M-10 will open earlier after the event)
- 3rd Ave from I-75 to Congress
- Woodward from State St to Jefferson (including the whole of the Campus Martius roundabout)
- I-375 from I-75 to Jefferson (northbound to open earlier after the event)
- Jefferson Ave between M-10 and I-375
- Bates St between Atwater and Jefferson
- Renaissance Dr W between Atwater and Jefferson
- Beaubien St between Atwater and Jefferson
- St. Antoine St between Atwater and Jefferson (northbound to open earlier after the event)
- Atwater/Steve Yzerman Dr between Cobo Hall and St. Antoine St

This is going to be a PITA to enter, so I'm asking for any help I can get to make sure that people who are using Waze to get downtown and to go home after the fireworks will have a safe and legal route. Please let me know if anyone needs any more info and I will try to gather it.
